In 2019, Kristin, founder of One Stop Teacher Shop and one of TPT’s top sellers, came to me with a new venture: Simplified Math Curriculum. Partnering with a math influencer, she set out to create an elementary-level math curriculum. While she was already selling parts of the curriculum on TPT, Kristin wanted a dedicated website to establish the new brand and drive direct sales.
The Challenge & Our Role
Kristin had a logo, a few brand colors, and some imagery, but needed strategic guidance and technical execution to bring the site to life. I worked closely with her, consulting one-on-one to plan the website structure, pages, and customer journey. The challenge was to build a platform that could both pre-sell unfinished curriculum and scale with future product releases.
The Process
Together, we mapped out the entire site and developed a strategy that included a dedicated landing page for each grade level. We set up two pricing models: a three-month payment plan and a one-time lifetime option. To generate momentum, we launched with a partial “coming soon” curriculum, offering pre-sale discounts that quickly gained traction. Kristin also wanted to sell lessons individually, which wasn’t possible with Kajabi’s limited cart at the time. To solve this, I integrated Shopify Buy Buttons directly into Kajabi—giving her a functional shopping cart before Kajabi had one built in.
The Build & Outcome
The launch of SimplifiedMathCurriculum.com was a success. The pre-sale strategy generated immediate sales, and the dual Kajabi-Shopify setup gave Kristin flexibility to sell both full curriculum packages and individual lessons. The site has continued to support the growth of Simplified Math Curriculum, giving Kristin another strong, independent revenue stream alongside her existing TPT business.
