Scent by Kumu is my small business specializing in eco-friendly scented candles made from sustainable soy wax. Our candles are designed not only to be kind to the environment but also to fill your space with long-lasting, delightful aromas. We offer two signature fragrances: Sweet Edition for those who love comforting, cozy scents, and Fresh Edition for a burst of invigorating freshness. Each candle is thoughtfully crafted to elevate your mood and create the perfect ambiance. For this project, I created a unique brand identity for Scent by Kumu, focusing on social media content and design that captures the essence of our candles — natural, fresh, and stylish. The packaging was designed to be both visually appealing and eco-conscious, enhancing any room's aesthetic while offering a memorable fragrance experience.

The challenge for this project was to create a memorable and visually appealing brand identity for Scent by Kumu, my own small business specializing in eco-friendly scented candles. I wanted the design to reflect the brand’s core values: sustainability, simplicity, and the joy of a great fragrance. The candles, made from natural soy wax, needed to stand out in a market filled with various home fragrances while clearly communicating their eco-friendly benefits.

It was also important to highlight the two unique fragrance lines: Sweet Edition, which offers cozy, comforting scents, and Fresh Edition, designed to bring an invigorating freshness to any space. The challenge was to create a cohesive look that worked across packaging, social media, and marketing materials, ensuring that the brand’s personality was engaging, stylish, and easy to understand for all audiences from children to adults.

To bring Scent by Kumu to life, I developed a clean, modern brand identity that captures the essence of natural beauty and sustainability. The logo was designed with simple, soft shapes and calming colors to represent the gentle, eco-friendly nature of the soy candles. The packaging design was kept minimal yet eye-catching, with clear labeling that communicates the fragrance type and benefits at a glance.

For social media and marketing, I created a series of templates and graphics that reflect the brand’s fresh, friendly, and inviting personality. The designs use vibrant visuals and engaging text to tell the story of each scent, making it easy for customers to connect with the product and understand its unique qualities. These elements help build a strong, recognizable brand that appeals to anyone looking for a touch of natural beauty in their home.
