Creator+, a business that partners with diverse and digital-native storytellers to disrupt the feature film industry, came to us asking for a brand identity that was equally revolutionary. We were able to premiere a logo and brand identity that engages (and excites their audience), is complex yet current, and pays credit to the brand’s history through showcasing analog elements.
When Creator+ launched, their entire business was moving hyperdrive for the launch - meaning they needed a temporary logo to show the world quickly. DIY'ing their own logo, after launch they realized they'd need a brand that would stand the test of time and would show the industry who they really were. To get them to that spot we had to create a versatile logo and brand identity that:
Creator+ is disrupting the way the media industry works and is a cutting-edge company changing the way things are done. The brand we wanted to create was something that would fit its modern complexity, paired with hints of the brand’s authenticity and the industry’s roots, represented through ‘analog elements’. One of those analog elements is the little corner in the plus size - linking back to the view frame of a (video) camera. The logo is slanted as media is ever-evolving, moving fast, and making leaps and bounds daily. As Creator+ is changing the market quickly, the logo is meant to keep up.
A lot of the digital storytellers with large followings all started small, DIY’ing and bootstrapping their content in their bedrooms, basements, and soundproofed closets. A big chunk of the target audience as well, grew up while technology was evolving and giving them more and more ways of experimenting with content creation before it was a thing. We wanted to combine those two elements together, the digital aspect and cutting-edge experiments, options, and platform Creator+ are offering together with the analog grit of content creators and audiences. The combination of both these worlds created a vibrant brand that conveys strength, energy, and experimentation.
