Let's Put Evanston, Wyoming on the Map! 🗺️

Overview: This project involved many pages of web copy for a tourism website's rebrand. I wrote pages like Arts & Entertainment, Nightlife & Gambling, Seasonal Activites, and many more.

But wait ✋ Where is Evanston, again?

Challenge: To make a teeny tiny town in Wyoming sound like the place to be. After all, Evanston Wyoming's population is just shy of 12,000. It's not exactly a metropolis bursting with life, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth visiting.

Make It Shine ✨

Solution: I'm from a very small town, so I know how hard it can be to convince people to come visit! I used my writing and research skills to deliver web pages that highlight Evanston's quirks, hidden gems, and Wild West spirit. At the end of the project, I was tempted to go for a visit, myself!

How I Did It 🧙

Here's the nitty gritty on how I helped elevate the charm of a small Wyoming town:
Brand voice & tone: My client provided verbal guidelines, which allowed me to weave in language that adhered to their vision; friendly, approachable, compassionate, and outdoorsy were all key elements!
Deep dives: Finding exciting and unique adventures for potential Evanston visitors was no easy feat. I harnessed my research magic to unearth the special qualities of the community. Did you know they have a Celtic festival every year?! So cool.
Laser focus: I wanted to amplify the parts of Evanston that made me most excited to visit, so I focused what I thought would matter most to travelers: outdoor adventure, small town charm, Wild West hospitality, and destination seasonality.
