Background Behind the Project

Working under a cybersecurity solution company means October is a very special month as it is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We wanted to frame ourselves as a cybersecurity thought leader, so like many other cybersecurity companies, we provided a free Identity and Access Management (IAM) resource kit to our audience.
Following Cybersecurity Awareness Month is Identity Week, so our kit revolved around information, resources, and tools about Identity and Access Management. Assets like social media graphics, articles, podcast episodes, and other materials to share online and to internal teams were provided in the kit.

Daily Posts

Under IAM are multiple subtopics that we focused on as themes for each day of the week. Every day came with a social media graphic, a resource like a datasheet or a short whitepaper, and external articles to read that are related to the themes below.

What is Identity and Access Management

The main offer to describe the ideal IAM solution was a checklist that readers can interact with. In this one-page checklist, users can verify if they have an ideal IAM solution in place or if they have the right priorities.

Understanding MFA, SSO, and SSPR

The main offer was three infographics, describing statistics about Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR). These quick to read infographics describe the situations many users face without the implementation of MFA, SSO, and SSPR.

Issues with Traditional Authentication

I based this design on Google's yearly search results from 2021 as the colors match the order that Google had in their infographic.
This infographic describes the issues with traditional authentication methods, telling a story of why users should migrate away from passwords, phone-based OTPs, and hardware tokens.

How to Develop a Better IAM Strategy

Because our theme was #IAMCybersmart, we wanted to offer a quiz that gives users the opportunity to test if they really know Identity and Access Management.

Questions to ask Your CISO

To end the week, we offered CEOs a document that gives them advice on what to ask their CTO/CISO to have a better understanding of their current IAM setup.

Graphic Assets

Other assets that we included were daily social posts that related to each theme. These followed a simple black and white questionnaire style to prepare users for the IAM savvy quiz that they would be taking toward the end of the week.
As the whole goal of the campaign was to have users be more aware of IAM, by formatting graphic designs around IAM-related questions, we were able to establish our messaging of "are you able to say #IAMcybersmart".
