IKARUS VR — Designing & Developing a Future-Ready Web Presence for a Virtual Reality Studio
1. Project Overview
IKARUS VR is a creative tech company building immersive virtual reality experiences — from interactive games to virtual tours for education, real estate, and simulation training. While their services were future-focused, their digital presence didn’t reflect that innovation or clarity.
I was hired to design and develop their full website in Webflow, creating a modern, scroll-driven experience that would position them as a premium VR solutions partner and help them attract both clients and collaborators.
2. Client Goals & Brief
IKARUS VR, a reality studio, needed a visually striking Webflow website to present their high-end VR services to global audiences. Their goal was to transition from a basic online presence to a premium digital experience that matched their innovation in the VR space.
The existing website lacked storytelling, brand cohesion, and clarity around their offerings—which created friction for partners and B2B clients.
Key Objectives:
Clearly explain their services to potential clients
Reflect the cutting-edge, immersive nature of their work
Build trust with enterprise customers, startups, and collaborators
Keep the design lightweight, scroll-focused, and mobile-friendly
Deliver full control over content via Webflow CMS
3. My Role & Scope
I led the project end-to-end, from strategy to live site delivery.
Scope included:
Discovery, positioning, and brand analysis
Full visual design — UI/UX, structure, interactions
Webflow development with responsive behavior
CMS setup for projects, services, and blogs
QA and launch support
4. Design Approach
The goal was to make the site feel high-tech but clean, with just enough motion and contrast to represent VR without overwhelming users.
Hero-First Messaging: Simple copy, bold visuals, and CTA-driven navigation
Futuristic Minimalism: Dark/light contrast, strong typographic hierarchy, and bold use of space
Interactive but Purposeful: Scroll-triggered effects and subtle transitions that reflect their immersive work
Structured Case Study Layouts: Easy to showcase VR projects in a modular format
Built from scratch in Webflow with class-based design system
CMS-driven portfolio and blog, enabling easy future updates
Lottie animation support and scroll-triggered effects
Fully responsive design tested across devices
Integrated SEO structure with custom meta tags and schema-ready markup
6. Results & Business Impact
The new website became more than just a digital presence — it positioned IKARUS VR as a visionary brand ready to scale in the immersive tech space.
✅ Tangible outcomes post-launch:
Better clarity around offerings → stronger client inquiries
Positive stakeholder feedback around visual language
Increased time-on-site through scroll flow and project engagement
CleanCMS enabled the team to update projects and content easily
Presented confidently in client meetings
