Domestic Violence Article
Domestic Violence takes place in our nation about every 15 seconds. Most Americans are completely unaware of all the lives affected by it. This is why Domestic Violence Awareness Month was introduced in 1987. It is a way to educate and bring awareness to this deep issue. This month also brings strength and support to the victims of this abuse.

Around 10 million people become victims each year. That equates to about 20 people every minute. Those are some pretty powerful numbers.
The hope of bringing awareness to domestic violence in October is to break the chains of violence. Awareness and education helps others recognize the signs of domestic violence and report them.
