ISMS - Web Redesign & CRO Improvements

I worked on the full design and development of the ISMS Connect website, a platform specializing in Information Security Management Systems. This project involved creating a user-centric experience from concept to completion, utilizing Figma for design and Framer for development.

The first step was understanding the client’s needs and the purpose of the website. This included:

Stakeholder Interviews: I held discovery sessions with the client to gather business goals, target audience insights, and key functionalities required.

Competitive Analysis: Conducted research on competitor websites and industry standards to identify features and design patterns for the information security niche.

User Persona Development: Created user personas to guide design decisions, ensuring the website addressed the needs of ISMS professionals and compliance managers.

Once the research phase was complete, I transitioned to planning the website’s structure:

Wireframes: Designed low-fidelity wireframes in Figma to map out the layout, navigation, and essential content areas.

User Flow Diagrams: Developed user flows to ensure smooth navigation through the site, highlighting key paths like signing up for the service or accessing security resources.

Content Strategy: Collaborated with the client to structure content in a way that educates users on the importance of ISMS while encouraging conversions.

After finalizing the structure, I moved on to high-fidelity designs in Figma:

UI Design: Designed the website's interface, balancing a professional look with an approachable feel. The color palette and typography were chosen to reflect the brand’s trustworthiness and expertise in information security.

Design System: Developed a consistent design system in Figma to ensure scalability and easy updates. This included reusable components like buttons, cards, and form fields.

Prototype: Created an interactive prototype to present the design to the client and gather feedback, making necessary adjustments before moving forward with development.

Once the design was approved, I began developing the site using Framer:

Responsive Development: Built the site in Framer, ensuring a fully responsive design that delivers an optimal experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Animations and Interactions: Implemented subtle animations and transitions to enhance user experience, focusing on smooth navigation and engaging visual feedback without overwhelming the user.

CMS Integration: Integrated a Content Management System (CMS) for easy updates to specific content areas, allowing the client to maintain the site without extensive technical knowledge.

Performance Optimization: Ensured fast loading times and smooth performance across all devices by optimizing images, using lazy loading, and minifying assets.

The final stage involved thorough testing and deployment:

Cross-browser Testing: Conducted tests across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) to ensure compatibility and consistent performance.

Mobile Testing: Performed testing on multiple mobile devices to ensure that all functionalities and layouts worked perfectly on smaller screens.

Bug Fixes & Final Adjustments: Fixed any issues found during testing and made final adjustments to polish the user experience.

Launch: Deployed the website live, with ongoing post-launch support to ensure everything ran smoothly and met the client’s expectations.

The website for ISMS Connect successfully combines clear messaging, a modern visual identity, and user-friendly design. The final product helped the client achieve their goal of improving their online presence and attracting a more engaged audience in the information security sector.
