This project is a spec piece I created for a fictional HRTech company called CloverHR.

CloverHR was struggling to get startup founders to subscribe to their email list. To help them solve this problem, I created a custom list of lead magnet ideas that they could use to attract subscribers to their list, and designed the list itself to resemble a lead magnet in the form of a downloadable PDF.

The piece was designed based on a real-life HRTech company's blog post about the importance of having a great pitch deck.

The requirements for this spec project were as follows;

Review the real-life HRTech company website to understand who their target audience is.

Analyze the blog post to uncover the key challenges that their target audience is facing and use these to create the content of the lead magnet.

Write the copy for the lead magnet.

Design the lead magnet.

The following were the results from the research phase of the project;

CloverHR had no lead magnet in place to attract its target audience of startup founders to subscribe to its email list. Instead, they made the mistake of simply placing a "Subscribe to Our Newsletter" call-to-action at the bottom of their page.

CloverHR's target audience of startup founders faced a particularly painful problem; they struggled to create compelling pitch decks.

Clover HR could create 7 different types of lead magnets all designed to attract startup founders to subscribe to their email list.

With the research phase complete, I created the following lead magnet;
