This artwork is a personal fantasy scene inspired by pirate legends and mythological sea creatures. Created using a combination of AI-generated elements and manual digital editing, including custom composition, lighting adjustments, and storytelling layout. My main focus was to bring dynamic motion and narrative tension through the placement of characters and creatures. Tools used: Midjourney (AI base), Photoshop (post-processing and composition).

Picture Details

Setting & Mood:

A dark-toned palette, dominated by deep blues, steely greys and flashes of phosphorescent green or teal from the sea, punctuated by the warm glow of lantern light or burning rigging on the ship.

Composition:

The kraken’s tentacles swirl around the ship, creating dynamic diagonal lines that draw the viewer into the conflict. The ship is slightly off-centre, giving room for the monster to loom. Storm clouds overhead and the churning sea below frame the central action.

Technique & Detail:
