I’ve been spending time learning professional transcription — not just typing what I hear, but paying attention to the details that are easy to miss:
• multiple speakers
• overlapping speech
• unintelligible sections
• non-verbal sounds
• speaker changes
• formatting and consistency
What surprised me most is that good transcription isn't really about typing fast.
It’s about listening carefully and making the right decision when the audio gets messy.
I’m still learning and improving, but I’m treating this like a real skill rather than something I can master overnight.
