This highlights an OBM project that I completed to earn OBM Accreditation. I had the opportunity to work with Dylan, a Business Coach based in the US, to streamline his group coaching program and help him achieve a successful scale-up from 20 to 40 students. Dylan's students highly value his weekly group coaching sessions, but the delivery process was haphazard, and this bottleneck was hindering the program's scaling up. The lack of streamlined delivery was consuming Dylan's time, which prevented him from focusing on his goals for the coming year.

We started by auditing his current systems and processes. We did the following…

Identified the bottleneck in Dylan's business and streamlined the delivery process for weekly group coaching sessions

Created a task list breakdown and assigned roles and responsibilities using the RACI method

Developed a job description and hiring questionnaire for a new team member to take on time-consuming tasks

Created a small test project to gauge the fit of potential hires

Provided a 90-day onboarding plan and training for the new team member

Enabled Dylan to focus on the goals for the coming year and achieve a successful scale-up of the program

To streamline the delivery process for Dylan's weekly group coaching sessions, we created a task list breakdown and assigned roles and responsibilities using the RACI method. Once we found potential hires, we created a small test project to gauge their fit for the role. We provided a 90-day onboarding plan and training for the new team member to ensure their success in the role.

As a result of our efforts, Dylan was able to successfully scale his group coaching program from 20 to 40 students. The streamlined delivery process allowed him to spend less time on the group coaching sessions and more time on growing his business. With the addition of a new team member, Dylan was able to take on more tasks and focus on his goals for the coming year.
