In CCUS industry, carbon capture technology plays an important role to help the country achieve a net zero carbon by 2050. Simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS and Symmetry are widely utilized to simulate and model the technologies to predict its performance in CO2 capture and gas processing. Collaboration was made with a university partner to produce an integrated plantwide process simulation and control for CO2 plant to maintain good and stable feed to the technology for CO2 removal.

The Spark ✨

Being an expert in simulation tools, client requested for the simulation work to be carried out within 12 months - from basic steady state simulation to dynamic simulation for control design. The feed stream is expected to be stabilized within +/-15% disturbance to pressure, temperature, and CO2 composition to ensure the technology is able to operate within its envelope.

The Stats 💯

Timeline: 12 months Budget: $40,000 Deliverables: List some deliverables that the independent gave. • Basic control scheme • Dynamic simulation scheme with +/-15% disturbances • Final control scheme
