Fat Boy Surf Club is a fashion retailer based in Australia. They focus on casual beach attire and merchandise, with a portion of the proceeds going towards manatee conservation charities.

The Fat Boy Surf Club team approached us a few years ago looking for a fresh website. Over that time, we have developed a fantastic working relationship and have completed a number of projects for them, including multiple website revisions, image editing, and SEO. What you can find below is the latest version of their e-commerce website, built on Shopify. The team wanted to update to a modern theme with more customisable options, which I was happy to assist with when working with Moore Design!

Fat Boy Surf Club's brand is all about a laid-back, beach lifestyle with clothes to match. Comfortable, stylish, and built for any body size! It was important for me to get this vibe across to the consumer quickly, which is why we opted to showcase some of their surf photography and beach lifestyle images in the main hero section and throughout the home page.

With it being an e-commerce site, their products needed on full display. Since they had a large range of clothing, listing featured collections gives their customers a good idea what is on offer within a few moments of scrolling.

The Fat Boy team also felt it was imperative to showcase their conservation efforts and charities associated with their brand. The company itself has personally adopted four manatees, and wanted an entire page dedicated to them. Whilst this wasn't to come before the clothing, links to this page were referenced throughout the site, giving the customer a chance to explore at their leisure.

Overall, we are always satisfied with the work we do for Fat Boy Surf Club, and their latest website iteration is a testament to this.
