The Brief
Harvey Creates was born from a simple love of movies and an obsession with their cinematography. I've always been interested in colour, the way its portrayed, and how it can have the subtlest effects on the way we feel.
The Design
This started as a simple passion project. I wanted to decorate my home with a scene from one of my favourite movies, but couldn't find anything similar online. I began playing around with a few designs from this iconic scene in Midsommar before I came to the final iteration that I was happy with. Minimal. Modern. Magnificent.
The shot was already doing so much for the poster, I didn't want to add too many distractions. Just details about the palette and a few details about the film was all that was needed.
I later moved on to other timeless classics that I've always enjoyed. I quickly found that, whilst the first design worked for one scene, it might not translate well to others. In the process, I played with a few other versions, included an enlarged image with heading, and a 3-shot design that worked to portray multiple scenes.
Overall, I'm happy with these designs and thought others might enjoy them also. I created an account on Etsy, where I sell the digital prints at a very affordable price. You can check them all out on my page with the link below.
