For a digital PR agency, I worked alongside a data scientist to find out how much it costs to attend a wedding in 2024. I then wrote up the copy and outreached the piece to the American market. This campaign has won 88 links so far, 17 of these being in DR90+ outlets.
Extract from copy:
"When you receive a wedding invite, your first reaction is hopefully delight, but you might also start to calculate the costs involved in attending. The average adult American attends two weddings per year – with some years much more -- and celebrating someone's big day often comes with big costs.
Considering everything from attire, travel, gifts to bachelor/ette getaways, we have calculated how much an American should budget per wedding – whether you are just a guest, or part of the bridal or groom party. By estimating the average cost for a wedding, we also compare this to the average price per head being spent on you.
