Bikiot is a connected cycling ecosystem built around digital identity, IoT, and data.
Productea led the end-to-end product creation, from early discovery and product definition to branding, UX architecture, UI design, and design system.
Branding & Visual Identity
The Bikiot brand needed to support a complex product that sits at the intersection of cycling, technology, and IoT.
Our goal was to create a visual identity that felt innovative, trustworthy, and scalable, without alienating non-technical users.
We defined a brand system that:
Communicates technology without feeling overly technical
Feels reliable and secure, suitable for long-term product adoption
Works across digital interfaces, hardware touchpoints, and physical assets
The branding was designed to be product-first, ensuring that visual decisions reinforced usability, clarity, and consistency across the entire ecosystem.
The Challenge
Cycling products are traditionally hardware-first, with digital experiences treated as secondary.
Bikiot aimed to reverse this approach by creating a digital-first platform capable of connecting bicycles, riders, brands, and operators into a single ecosystem.
The challenge was to design a product that:
Connects hardware, software, and data seamlessly
Is simple for cyclists, but powerful for brands and operators
Supports multiple user roles and use cases
Can scale as an ecosystem, not just as an app
Discovery & Product Strategy
We started with a discovery phase focused on defining:
The core value of a digital bike passport
Key user profiles (cyclists, brands, operators)
Primary product flows and touchpoints
Long-term scalability and integration requirements
This phase allowed us to define a clear product strategy and avoid building fragmented or feature-driven experiences.
UX Architecture & Wireframing
We designed the UX structure of the platform with a strong focus on clarity and modularity:
Clear user flows for bike registration, ownership, and data access
Scalable navigation for multiple user roles
Reduced friction in onboarding and setup
Wireframes were used to validate flows and logic early, ensuring the product could grow without breaking the experience.
UI Design & Design System
Based on validated UX and brand foundations, we designed the high-fidelity UI:
Clean interfaces focused on usability and data readability
Consistent components across apps and dashboards
Visual hierarchy adapted to both consumer and professional users
In parallel, we built a design system to support rapid iteration and long-term scalability.
Handoff & Product Scalability
All designs were delivered ready for development, with clear specifications and reusable components.
The product was designed as a platform, enabling future services, integrations, and business models without redesigning the core experience.
Outcome
Productea delivered a complete digital foundation for Bikiot:
A clear and scalable product experience
A strong brand aligned with connected mobility
A modular system ready to grow as an ecosystem
Bikiot was positioned as a future-ready platform for connected cycling, where hardware and digital product work as one.
