Artisan cheese is primarily handmade and incorporates many traditional techniques of the cheesemaking craft. Its portrayal is often associated with vintage and classic branding, reflecting its heritage and tradition.
However, Farm Girl wanted to approach things differently. They want to slash the Australian market and create a fun, exciting sensation when consumers are looking at their products.
Prior to embarking on the design process, we delved into several research-based journals to explore the effects of shape and colour on consumers' perceptions of cheeses. With Farm Girl's preference for unconventional, quirky, and bizarre branding in mind, we crafted a cowgirl mascot named Molly to effectively convey the brand's identity. The brand colours were bold and cheeky, and the typography choices were meticulously curated for open-minded individuals.
Farm Girl believes in challenging the status quo and bringing a sense of fun and excitement to the cheese industry. They are committed to pushing boundaries and redefining the perception of artisan cheese, all while honouring the traditional techniques of the craft.
