Creating team trust remotely to deliver a data migration

How I reinvigorated a team who were 12 months into a 24 month programme of work to migrate peta bytes of data from on-premise into the cloud ☁️
As a delivery lead, my role was to find out what the issues in the team were, align them to a vision and bring the senior stakeholders on the journey to enable the project to be successful.
Before I implemented solutions I spoke with each team member individually to understand their strengths, frustrations and trust levels. I then facilitated a number of sessions to create unity within the team such as a team charter and a clear roadmap. This was to establish trust within the team and agree a common vision for us to work towards. I also spent time with the senior stakeholders to align them to the new plan, reasons driving the new time scales.
They were able to work through their differences to create a confident roadmap which fitted within the time frame. I led the team to migrate five petabytes of data from on premise data centres into the cloud. My work directly helped secure new contracts with the client!
