Project Summary

We built the digital presence for Yangtze Qù — a premium Asian-fusion restaurant in New Cairo. The design originated in Adobe XD files and the goal was to translate that into a sleek, immersive website that reflects the aesthetic of the physical venue (color, typography, imagery), while also making user journeys (menu viewing, booking/reservation, brand story) intuitive and engaging.

Objectives

Showcase the restaurant’s ambience, brand story and menu in a visually rich way (large imagery, refined typography, dark-luxury palette).
Ensure mobile and desktop experiences reflect the premium feel of the venue, without compromising on performance or ease of use.
Create a CMS‐ready site where menu items, images, events (art & dine experience) can be updated easily by the restaurant team.
Facilitate core actions: view menu → reserve a table → contact/visit.
Align with the Adobe XD design exactly (components, spacing, breakpoints, hover/interaction states).

My Role

Frontend development from XD into production (HTML/CSS/JS) ensuring fidelity to the design mockups.
Implementation of responsive layouts (desktop, tablet, mobile) matching the design system from XD.
Building reusable components (hero sections, “About us” story block, menu galleries, reservation CTA, event highlight).
Ensuring accessibility best practices (semantics, alt text, keyboard nav) and SEO readiness.
Integration with CMS/editor so the restaurant team can update content (e.g., menu items, event page like “Art & Dine”).
