SushiWushi is all about creating an unforgettable dining experience, blending the traditional with the playful. Our goal was to design packaging that not only looked fresh but also made customers smile the moment they saw it. The Sushi Squad was born from this vision, turning each sushi piece into a lovable character to make the unboxing as exciting as the meal itself. The packaging combines creativity with functionality, ensuring that every part of the customer journey feels as special as the sushi itself.

We wanted the packaging to be more than just a box—it needed to tell a story. By incorporating custom illustrations, we were able to add personality and emotion to the packaging. These playful sushi characters engage customers, making them feel like they’re opening a little world of fun. Each member of The Sushi Squad represents a unique part of the SushiWushi brand: fun, quality, and a little surprise in every bite. The illustrations help create a connection between the product and the customer, turning a simple meal into a memorable experience.

We started by brainstorming the core values of SushiWushi and how we could reflect those through visual design. The concept of The Sushi Squad came naturally, with each character designed to bring a smile to the customer's face. The characters were first sketched in rough, playful forms, and then refined to capture their unique personalities. Finally, we carefully selected a color palette that reflects the freshness of the sushi, ensuring that the overall packaging feels modern, inviting, and fun.

The bright, bold colors of the characters are balanced with a clean and simple background, making the characters the stars of the show. The typography mirrors the playful tone of the illustrations, with rounded edges and friendly vibes. The tagline, "Rolling Happiness Your Way," completes the look by encapsulating the SushiWushi promise: to bring happiness with every roll.

From Strummy Sam's musical vibes to Sleepy Momo's cozy naps, each character embodies a playful aspect of SushiWushi's offerings. The illustration style is kept simple yet expressive, using vibrant colors and cute details to make the characters instantly lovable. Whether you're enjoying the meal with friends or solo, these charming characters are here to add some joy to every bite.
