Santilotto Terminal App

Santilotto is a mobile lottery terminal system built for agent-led betting operations, supporting real-time bet placement, results verification, and payouts. The platform consists of two connected products: an Agent POS app for day-to-day betting operations and an Agent Admin app for oversight, finance, and system control.

I led the end-to-end product design across both the Agent and Agent Admin experiences from PRD interpretation and system modelling to flows, UI, edge cases, and handoff. My focus was on designing a fast, reliable, and financially clear system for high-volume, real-world operations.

Agents operate under time pressure. Surfacing balance, actions, and activity immediately reduces hesitation at the counter and helps agents move confidently through transactions without switching screens unnecessarily.

A unified betting experience combining game selection, bet types, number picking, stake calculation, and bet history, with filters for ticket ID, date, and status.

Bet placement is the core revenue action. This flow was designed to reduce cognitive load, prevent entry errors, and keep agents focused on the customer, not the interface.

A dedicated results view listing completed draws with winning numbers, draw times, and status, optimised for fast verification rather than exploration.

Post-draw moments are sensitive. Agents need instant clarity to answer player questions and confirm outcomes. This page minimises confusion and prevents disputes by making results explicit and easy to reference.

Admins don’t need everything at once; they need signals. This page acts as a daily health check, helping admins spot anomalies, assess performance, and decide where to focus without digging into reports.

Agents are the backbone of the system. Giving admins fast control over agent status and visibility into activity ensures operational stability, especially when scaling or handling compliance issues.

A centralised finance module that aggregates all monetary activity across the system, transactions, payouts, commissions, and wallet movements, with date filters and drill-down views for individual records.

Finance is the highest-risk area of the product. This design ensures admins can always answer where money came from, where it went, and its current status without ambiguity. Clear traceability reduces disputes, errors, and operational friction in high-volume environments.

Designing Santilotto reinforced the importance of clear mental models in operational products. The biggest wins came from mapping navigation to responsibilities, not features, and treating financial clarity as a first-class design problem.

Working on both the Agent and Admin sides also highlighted how tightly coupled systems need asymmetrical simplicity, agents need speed and confidence, while admins need control and visibility. Balancing both without leaking complexity across roles was the most valuable design challenge in this project.
