Objective:
The goal of this project was to design a clear, engaging PDF document for The Four Factors of Effective Leadership by David Rendall. The objective was to showcase leadership qualities in a structured, visually appealing format that guides users through self-reflective assessment sections.
Context:
This document was created for David Rendall, an established speaker and author in leadership development. The purpose was to visually represent his work on leadership by creating a user-friendly assessment tool that aids individuals in reflecting on their leadership qualities.
Challenges:
A key challenge was creating a design that balanced readability with structure. With multiple sections and reflection points, the layout needed to be organized and intuitive, allowing readers to focus on each factor without feeling visually overwhelmed.
Process:
I began by organizing the content into distinct sections for each leadership factor, using layout elements such as headers, spacing, and clean typography to ensure clarity and flow. I focused on maintaining consistency across the sections to help users navigate smoothly from one part to the next, all while keeping the design visually aligned with Rendall’s brand and message.
Learnings:
This project reinforced the value of structured layouts in enhancing readability and engagement. I learned more about designing assessment documents that guide users naturally through the content, emphasizing simplicity and clarity over unnecessary embellishments.
