Overview
Traci Thomas, host of The Stacks podcast, embarked on a live podcast tour across five major U.S. cities, offering a unique opportunity to engage with her audience in person. To ensure its success, we implemented a robust event marketing strategy, including social media promotion, email campaigns, website landing pages, sponsorship management, and curated VIP gift bags. Additionally, we coordinated 30-second ad rolls across Traci’s podcast episodes to amplify sponsor visibility throughout the tour.
Objectives
1. Sell out events in five U.S. cities.
2. Increase visibility and engagement for The Stacks podcast.
3. Attract new audiences and retain loyal listeners.
4. Integrate sponsors to cover event costs and provide added value for attendees.
5. Ensure smooth logistics for travel, scheduling, and event management.
Strategy
1. Event Promotion & Social Media Marketing
We launched a multi-platform social media marketing campaign across The Stacks’ Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts, using localized content to engage potential attendees in each city. Strategies included:
• Targeted ads driving ticket sales with city-specific messaging.
• Behind-the-scenes content from Traci to build hype.
• Countdown posts and promotions to create urgency leading up to each event.
2. Email Marketing
A strategic email campaign was sent to The Stacks’ subscriber base, promoting:
• Early bird tickets and VIP packages.
• Event-specific details and sponsor integrations.
• Links for easy ticket purchasing, driving conversion.
3. Website Landing Pages
Custom landing pages were created for each tour stop, featuring:
• Venue information, event highlights, and ticket options.
• Seamless integration of ticket sales and VIP packages.
• Sponsor features to drive brand awareness alongside the event.
4. Sponsorship Management & Ad Roll Coordination
In addition to event sponsorships, we secured additional promotional opportunities for brands by incorporating 30-second ad rolls into The Stacks podcast episodes leading up to the tour. Sponsorship elements included:
• Logo placements on digital and print collateral, social media, and email campaigns.
• VIP gift bags filled with sponsor-branded merchandise for select attendees at each event.
• 30-second ad rolls integrated into podcast episodes to promote sponsors, reaching The Stacks’ loyal listener base across all five tour cities.
5. VIP Sponsored Gift Bags
To enhance the experience for VIP attendees, we curated exclusive gift bags in each city. These included:
• Branded items from sponsors, such as books, merchandise, and premium products.
• A personalized touch that elevated the VIP experience and left a lasting impression on both attendees and sponsors.
6. Travel and Scheduling
We handled all logistics, ensuring smooth coordination for Traci’s travel, venue scheduling, and event management across all five cities. This included:
• Booking transportation, accommodations, and venue arrangements.
• Coordinating with local teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Results
The Live in The Stacks podcast tour was a tremendous success, achieving sold-out events in every city. Key highlights included:
• 100% ticket sales, with many venues selling out well before the event dates.
• Increased listenership and engagement for The Stacks podcast, with boosted social media following and podcast subscribers.
• Strong sponsor integration, with positive feedback from sponsors regarding the ad rolls, event exposure, and VIP gift bags.
• Flawless logistics, ensuring the tour ran smoothly from city to city with no disruptions.
