Brand Identity Brand Strategy Creative Direction Website Design

Noma was created to redefine Japanese furniture through calm intention and sculptural form. The goal was to build a brand identity grounded in balance and honesty, designing a visual experience that complements the room rather than competing with it.
The visual strategy is anchored by the logo slogan I crafted, “Shaped by the space between,” celebrating negative space and thoughtful restraint. The logo system is architectural and symmetrical, reflecting the structural integrity of the pieces. The colour palette utilizes deep earth tones and rust to evoke a sense of grounded luxury. Every choice, from the bold typography to the minimalist layout, was made to create a quiet visual rhythm that feels effortless and timeless.​
I designed the full brand ecosystem, including the logo suite, merchandise, and a responsive website. The website focuses on a high-end user experience (UX), showcasing “limited drop” collections through a gallery-style interface. The homepage and explore pages were crafted to act as a digital extension of the furniture itself—sculptural, clean, and intentional.​
Ultimately, the new identity positions Noma as a distinct voice in the luxury market. By merging strategic branding with emotive storytelling, the design successfully communicates the quality and exclusivity of the furniture, ensuring the brand connects deeply with its intended audience.
