Overview JobFit AI is a recruitment platform that matches candidates to jobs using skills, experience, and AI-driven fit scoring. I built the full backend using BuildShip to handle resume parsing, data flow, and AI matching between frontend, database, and LLMs. Technology Stack

Process
Requirement Gathering: Worked with HR stakeholders to identify key hiring challenges and define structured candidate-job matching criteria.
Data Collection & Integration: Centralized resumes, job descriptions, and historical hiring data into a unified pipeline for processing.
AI Pipeline Development with BuildShip: Used BuildShip to design an automated workflow for resume ingestion, GPT-4o based parsing, and structured JSON generation of candidate profiles.
Matching & Scoring Logic: Implemented custom JavaScript nodes to compare candidate profiles with job data from PostgreSQL/Supabase and generate multi-dimensional fit scores.
Frontend & API Delivery: Exposed REST APIs from BuildShip to power recruiter dashboards showing real-time fit scores, skill gaps, and AI recommendations.
Testing & Iteration: Continuously tested workflow accuracy, optimized prompts, and refined scoring logic to improve match precision and system performance. Explanation JobFit AI uses BuildShip with GPT-4o to analyze resumes and job descriptions using NLP, generating accurate candidate fit scores and recommendations. Recruiters can quickly identify top candidates, view skill gaps, and make faster, data-driven hiring decisions. The system also improves matching accuracy by using contextual understanding instead of keyword-based filtering, helping surface stronger and often overlooked candidates through structured AI-driven evaluation.
