Samsung SmartThings Find Test Suite on Behance

I was part of UI/UX Design team who participated in this project, the design is fully owned by Samsung research

The SmartThings Find Test Suite is an efficient and user-friendly tool designed for the SmartThings ecosystem. It enables users to comprehensively test their Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Devices, covering various scenarios and real-world conditions. With its intuitive interface, users can assess connectivity, data transmission, power consumption, and hardware compatibility. The suite generates detailed test reports, providing valuable insights for device development and optimization, showcasing the ecosystem's commitment to user satisfaction and quality assurance.

Using tools like Adobe XD for design and Miro for research, I start with thorough research to understand the design needs, followed by ideation and hifi design. Prototypes are tested with real users, and feedback guides iterative improvements. I ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and seamless interactions while adhering to Samsung's brand guidelines. Continuous monitoring and data-driven refinements optimize the user experience for Samsung's diverse global audience.

The SmartThings Find Test Suite, an initiative directed by Samsung HQ (Korea), is designed to facilitate developers in conducting comprehensive tests for their devices within the SmartThings Ecosystem. This project is committed to maintaining the professional aesthetics of the Samsung One UI style while prioritizing user experience. The primary challenge lies in efficiently delivering a multitude of tests and essential information to users in a clear and simplified manner, ensuring a seamless testing process

Provide a detailed comparison of BLE test app with other similar apps in the market. This will help you identify the strengths and weaknesses of the app and make improvements accordingly.

Group tests into categories based on their functionality. This will make it easier for users to navigate through the app and find the tests they need.

Use dropdowns to hide lower priority information and keep the interface clean and organized.

Display user progress to help them keep track of their test results and motivate them to complete more tests.

Ensuring design consistency across Samsung applications by integrating the OneUI design kit. Additionally, drawing insights from an exploration of various Samsung apps such as SmartThings, Samsung Health, Bixby, Samsung Members, and Samsung Galaxy Store to inform the design of icons, illustrations, and animations that align seamlessly with established Samsung app aesthetics.

Engaging in ongoing communication with developers to gather valuable feedback on the design aspects.
