Overview

Fint is a personal customized investment service. It manages your assets with the self-developed investment management platform 'preface' and the investment engine AI 'Isaac'.‍Isaac builds a global ETF portfolio of various assets such as US stocks, gold and real estate to minimize the risk of loss and manage investments with the goal of generating stable returns.

Impacts

Our investment account has experienced an impressive growth of 11%, resulting in a balance of $25,349. Moreover, we have received a deposit that has increased our deposit account by 11%, amounting to 7,260. Furthermore, we are pleased to report a significant increase in new user sign-ups, with a growth of 20% of 183,816. After a year the company raised $60M Series A.

Background

Our aim was to enhance the investing experience for our users. However, we observed a minimal increase in the number of users who made deposits. Therefore, we set out to discover effective ways to improve the situation.

Conducting user surveys and interview

I conducted a survey to gather information about users' investing experiences on the app. Specifically, we targeted users who had invested more than $500 and asked them to share their experiences.

What I found on the user survey

I have discovered that users are interested in knowing the exact amount they have gained or lost on each stock they have invested in. Additionally, they desire to have a better understanding of the global stock market. It appears that users are hesitant to trust the AI engine Issac due to a lack of comprehension of how it selects investments for them.

I defined major problems

I have identified several issues based on insights. Firstly, there is a lack of information regarding the profit/loss of users on individual holdings. Secondly, the content we provide is not regularly updated. Lastly, there is a lack of explanation on how Issac's system operates.

Problem 1

There was no available data on the profit or loss that users have experienced from their investment holdings, and the bar graph provided was not easy to understand.

Solution

Show overall profit and changes in users' holdings. In the end, I choose option A, based on user feedback it was the most intuitive and easy to understand compared to the other options.

Problem 2

There is a lack of content related to stocks.

Solution

Present current worldwide market conditions for stocks.

Problem 3

There is no explanation about how Ai 'Issac' system works

Solution

Include a description of the Isaac algorithm's functioning, focusing on how Isaac constructs portfolios and manages assets.
