tegolySIGN is a German e-signature platform for legally binding digital signatures, eIDAS- and DSGVO-compliant, with deep DATEV integration built specifically for tax advisors, auditors, and law firms. Founded by two brothers, the product is genuinely strong. The website representing it was not.

The previous site looked like it belonged to a different era: static, visually dated, and thin on substance. For a product selling trust, security, and legal compliance to a demanding professional audience, that was a serious liability. A signature platform whose own website looks like it was built in 1999 struggles to convince a cautious Steuerberater to move their most sensitive documents onto it. The brief was a complete redesign, rebrand, and rebuild that would finally match the sophistication of the product.

The project had three distinct layers.

The first was credibility through substance. The old site didn't explain or convince, it just existed. A compliance-driven, security-sensitive audience needs to see how the product works, why it's legally sound, and what actually happens to their documents. The site had to demonstrate substance, not just assert it.

The second was making an abstract SaaS tangible. E-signature workflows, audit trails, signature tiers (EES/FES/QES), identity verification, DATEV integration, are abstract and easy to explain badly. Static screenshots weren't going to carry it. The site needed motion and interactive product storytelling to make an invisible process feel concrete and trustworthy.

The third was voice and positioning. The messaging needed a full rewrite: confident, precise, and fluent in the language of German tax and legal professionals, balancing rigorous compliance terminology (eIDAS, AATL, LTV, audit-trail) with clarity that never felt intimidating.

Full redesign and rebrand — A complete transformation from the outdated previous site into a modern, premium SaaS identity: clean layout, confident typography, and a visual system that signals security and professionalism at a glance.

Custom React & CSS animation components — Hand-built React and CSS components driving the site's motion: animated product mockups of the signing flow, a live audit-trail log, a "before vs after" duration comparison, integration diagrams, and the EES/FES/QES signature tiers. These bring the product to life and turn an abstract process into visible, understandable storytelling.

Motion-led product storytelling — Motion introduced throughout to guide the visitor through how the product actually works, step by step, rather than relying on static images. Every animation earns its place by explaining something.

Full copywriting and voice — The entire site's copy rewritten: hero, feature descriptions, use-case sections, process steps, FAQ, and CTAs, in a confident, compliance-fluent German voice tuned to tax advisors, auditors, and law firms.

CMS build and blog population — CMS structured and the blog populated with content, giving tegolySIGN an ongoing channel for SEO and thought leadership in the Steuerberatung space.

Structured, conversion-focused sections — Features, "why tegolySIGN," a clear four-step process, industry-specific use cases (tax advisors, auditors, lawyers, dealerships, HR, insurers), customer testimonials, transparent pricing, team, and a full FAQ, arranged to move a cautious buyer from doubt to a free trial.

Alt text and accessibility — Descriptive alt text implemented across the site's imagery, supporting both accessibility and SEO.

Used AI-assisted, hand-refined motion to replace a static site. To move quickly without sacrificing quality, motion concepts were developed with the help of Claude AI, then refined into custom React and CSS components. This let the site ship rich, product-explaining animation on a realistic timeline, the difference between a page that sits still and one that tells a story.

Made motion explain, not decorate. Every animation was tied to a specific thing the buyer needs to understand: how a signature is placed, how the audit trail is recorded, how much faster the digital flow is than the manual one. In a trust-driven category, showing the mechanism is the argument.

Rewrote the voice for a compliance audience. Rather than generic SaaS copy, the language was rebuilt to speak fluently to German tax and legal professionals, using the exact compliance vocabulary they trust while keeping the message clear.

Built the blog and CMS for the long game. Populating the blog and structuring the CMS gave tegolySIGN an owned content channel, so the site keeps working for SEO and credibility long after launch.
