MAYDAY! MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

"Mayday" was a special project for me and should hit home with every visitor. Artist Susan Silton approached me in the Spring of 2020 to build her vision— one that could be easily edited and a site where visitors could quickly add a memorial for those who were lost to COVID-19. I built the dual-language project on Squarespace and ported the form to GoogleDocs through a Zapier connection. It's a project that will grow over time and should remain in place for ages. 

In December of 2020, I added an entry for my own Mother-in-law. It was a sorrowful experience, while at the same time, it was a good feeling to memorialize her in this way.
