Content Strategy
Instagram was the primary social channel & each post was reposted to Facebook
For content, we decided to share wedding films 3 x's a week, and those days being Monday, Wednesday & Friday. This is due to insights into when his audience was most engaged online. MF we’re static feed or carousel posts that showed fashion, portrait, or wedding photos were taken. Wednesdays we’re reserved for Instagram Reels to help increase reach & follower metrics
Due to this solopreneur being someone who is a photographer making sure photos were posted was essential to help build a profile of portfolio work. In research, we found that accounts that he drew inspiration from as well as his peers (competition) did not produce ANY video content. We saw that as an opportunity to capitalize off that gap in the market & grow from that.

🔍 The client gave me all the assets (which we’re countless [100+] photos to choose from) & creative license to post them how I saw fit. I wanted to show the variety of work he does since he is in the fashion, portrait & wedding industries. Due to his audience responding the most to wedding content & because that was his preferred job we adjusted the content strategy to prioritize wedding content.
Reel’s feed view. We decided to keep them off his regular feed so that his prioritized audience was new accounts/accounts that don’t follow him.I created the strategy(sent ideas to him for trending audios & have creative ideas to use them)but reels were his own creative medium to create, edit & publish once a week on Wednesdays.
Insights after Strategy was Implement
💡With reach being one of the top metrics it's incredible to see through this content strategy we were able to reach 18x’s the amount of his current followers.

8250+ impressions with 239 follower visits 💪🏾
the overall growth of 15 new followers (minus 4 unfollows) in one month of implementation.
Takeaway
From this contract, I was able to test out new strategies within the Instagram algorithm. I found that my strategies were helpful to this client & helped his reach increase significantly. I also grew my understanding of how to reach an audience for photography in the wedding, fashion & portrait industries.
