I developed + wrote "FYI" — a weekly newsletter for 470k+ subscribers

Company: Fiveable, an ed-tech company
Audience: Gen-Z students across the country
Goals: Provide value to students, humanize the brand, and establish credibility.
Programs used: Mailerlite, Canva, Figma, Notion

✨Some highlights✨

Achieved a consistent 45-50% open rate (psst. 18-30% is considered stellar)
Developed newsletter format to have a range of entertaining, helpful, and uplifting content
Worked with design team to create an aesthetic, on-brand email template
Cultivated engagement/community with our audience (we received replies EVERY week from our users who love the newsletter)
Crafted high quality content that our audience can digest quickly. They're a busy group of people, so we adapted our newsletter format accordingly.

2.) Updates on what Fiveable is working on
3.) Introspection Corner (mindfulness + well-being tips)
4.) Slack Chronicles - funny screenshots from Slack to build authenticity.
