Analysis of Heat Transfer in a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger

I employed Aspen Hysys and Ansys Fluent to comprehensively model, simulate, and optimize the heat transfer processes. Using Aspen Hysys, a detailed model of the heat exchanger was developed to simulate its performance under various conditions. Ansys Fluent was then employed for fluid dynamics analysis, focusing on temperature distribution and pressure drops.
The project delved into optimizing heat transfer mechanisms, evaluating the impact of materials and geometries on efficiency, and conducting sensitivity analyses on operating conditions. The findings led to the implementation of design enhancements aimed at maximizing overall performance and energy efficiency.
This project is anticipated to significantly enhance the heat transfer efficiency of the shell and tube heat exchanger, contributing to improved processes reliant on efficient thermal energy exchange.
