I built a mission-flow engagement audit for a placeholder retail sales-training app and ran it on a seeded synthetic event log of 4,000 learners over 30 days (18,248 mission attempts). It measures reach, drop rate, median and 90th-percentile time and seconds since the last payoff for each of 8 mission steps, and flags 4: the role-play step drops 21.6% of the learners who reach it and holds 44.0% of all in-mission losses. A proposed flow adds 2 micro-interruptions and 2 checkpoints and cuts the longest stretch without a payoff from 90 s to 43 s. Retention is computed as D1 47.9%, D7 13.3%, D30 5.9%, and split by first-mission completion (D1 61.6% against 29.0%). The first-session onboarding lands a win at 51 s, runs 101 s in total, and ends on a chosen practice time and tomorrow's customer. 8 recommendations are ranked by measured reach times impact and confidence over effort, each with a named behavioral principle and a per-arm sample size for its test. The build checks its own targets and writes nothing if one fails.
