My skillset was deeply nurtured during a season in which I spent time creating personal content around a recent journey back home to myself -- that I still happen to be on. I had a season of reckoning and it thrusted me into a time in which I blossomed as a videographer and editor.

After editing 172 videos of myself talking about various topics related to self-improvement, i recognized that I had a talent and passion for the experience. Not only that, I also noticed how much I learned about video editing platforms and realized that I developed a skillset that has the potential to help limitless brands and businesses.

One of the underground themes for this experience was the fact that I found myself indirectly working through so many deep seated insecurities and fears that I did not originally notice.

Forcing myself to talk to the camera and into a microphone are two important factors in breaking through my fear of being seen. Not only was this journey resulting in me learning a ton of skills related to video, I was also learning a ton about myself.

Early in my skill development, these videos strengthened my ability to spot the nexus where storytelling, authenticity and editing. They need to be approached in a way that is complementary to each other and finding that balance is something that I've noticed yields measurable results in the realm that is the internet.

I believe in the idea of everyone being lifelong learners. I am always going to be willing to learn. However, at this point I am also invested in providing value to a multitude of brands and businesses. There will always be more to learn however I do know that my particular skillset is unique and it is also deeply aligned with the future trajectory of the nature of social media and what people will gravitate towards: authenticity.
