The Founder and CEO of A Taste of Jazz LLC reached out with an interest in creating some Behind the Scenes content for the business. They expressed a desire in connecting with their audience in a unique way by showcasing the behind the scenes happenings of operating the business at an event.

The client asked for footage to be captured of how catering for a private event comes together. Everything from the food being prepared to how the full scale catering set up is constructed on-site. The client primarily intended to use the final deliverables for social media and that was shared in the beginning of our partnership.

Meet, Greet and Deets - The client and I approached our initial conversation with the goal of materializing the client's desires. We answered questions like "what kind of inner workings of the business do you feel like represent an aspect of the business that is often not considered?" The client answered a line of questioning that revealed the way they desired for their business to be highlighted in the content. The fact that we took time to create so much clarity around this made the process of filming and editing a lot smoother!

Scheduling, Expectation Setting and Planning - After our intial meeting, the client and I coordinated dates and times that were aligned with an event they had coming up. Not only that, we also set expectations around content delivery so that the client had time to arrange their social media strategy around the content once it was delivered.

Filming Day - The client and I met up at the two locations that were relevant for the event that they were servicing. We captured more than enough footage to alleviate the potential for any part of vision being missed during the editing process.

Editing, Drafts and Revisions - The first round of edits were completed and sent for approval to the client. While the client made their vision and intent clear, in this particular partnership the client gave me complete creative control.

Delivery and Approval - The client received the final version of the revised videos and shared that they accurately depict the vision that they had for the content!

"Donald you did your thing !!’ And you did it well. I absolutely love what you have done and the audio is ok with me too. All that background noise sounds like the work is happening as I am speaking which is A OK with me.
