End-to-end escrow flow — from contract creation to dispute resolution.
Role · UI/UX Design, Front-end Focus · DeFi, Accessibility, Conversion
Secure payments without the middleman.
Freelancers either pay 15–20% to a platform, or risk never getting paid. Trove lets them secure payments through smart contracts, get paid on delivery, and build on-chain reputation. 0.5% fees. No intermediary.
Escrow Creation
One form. One contract. No confusion.
The client names the project, sets the amount in ALPH, adds the freelancer's address, picks a deadline, and uploads the scope of work. One page, one action. Everything needed to deploy a smart contract, nothing more.
Single-screen escrow creation : every field maps to a smart contract parameter.
Contract Dashboard
Everything about the deal, in one place.
Once the escrow is live, both parties see the same dashboard: contract amount, required bond, total vault, wallet addresses, deadline, project files, and a full timeline of on-chain events.
The vault icon sits at the center of the layout : a visual reminder that funds are locked and protected.
Contract overview with vault metaphor, timeline, and magic link for freelancer onboarding.
Freelancer Onboarding
One link to join the contract.
The freelancer receives a magic link. No account creation, no sign-up form. They connect their wallet, review the contract details, and accept. Funds are already locked, they deposit their bond to activate.
Zero friction between receiving the link and starting work.
Magic link landing — contract summary, wallet connection, bond activation. One screen.
Dispute Resolution
Drag to split. No forms.
When there's a dispute, an on-chain arbiter reviews both arguments. Then makes a decision using a slider that visually splits the funds between both parties.
No dropdown menus. No percentage fields. Just drag. The arbiter sees the impact of their choice in real time before confirming.
Arbitration slider — visual, intuitive fund splitting with real-time feedback.
Visual Direction
Dark mode, but make it comfortable.
Dark themes kill conversion in most contexts. But crypto users expect dark interfaces — DeFi means charts, data density, extended screen time. If your UI looks nothing like what they're used to, you create friction before they even start.
Most dark themes are too deep, too harsh. A softer palette that feels premium without being aggressive. A dark mode you can actually stay in.
