Overview and Brief:
Holidough is a festive cookie making kit brand. It embodies all that is festive - the big fat 'Holiday Spirit'.
The Challenge And How I Tackled It:
The challenge here was to create an identity that would stand out against thousands of other similar holiday brands that would stack up the shelves.
I strayed away from the usual 'festive' clutter, usually involving elements such as gift boxes, Christmas trees, candy canes, banners, fir trees, party hats, confetti - you get the gist. The point here was to still embody a festive spirit that would involve Christmas, New Year, and possibly any other festival that could come in the way - making it distinct, timeless and mostly importantly, inclusive.
Instead of using general illustrative elements, I made it stand out by clever use of colours and bold, big shapes. Combine it all together and here is a fully festive brand that doesn't follow the crowd!
