Writing was fun...

But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Why, you may ask? Hope you weren't expecting me to say "Writing has always been my passion"? Nah, it hasn't! Sorry to disappoint you.
Let's call writing a hobby.
But no one told me that transitioning from a hobby to a profession would be challenging.
Still... Happy to tell you that this didn't take away the thrill that comes from crafting stories and connecting with readers while enlightening them on important issues.
Besides, I've always believed that stories matter.
It also helps that I'm privileged to find myself in a space where I can experiment with my reporting, helping me explore the authenticity I crave. Of course, it's a never-ending process.
What joy it is to inspire, inform, and impact lives. This is where growth and fulfilment lie, and why I won't have it any other way.
Despite the occasional challenges, the impact my work has on the community makes it all worthwhile.
Here's to more stories, more learning, and more impact. 👌
P.S.: Writing this made me feel nostalgic, that's why I'm using this picture from 4 years ago, just when I was finding my feet.
Can we talk about how YOU find purpose in your job?

I loved writing until it started funding my life... I still do, though.
