La Paletería is a store located in Quito that started selling popsicles a few years ago. Now it has several stores located in different cities of Ecuador.
Being a product that is consumed by young and old, we wanted the graphics to be attractive to both. We decided to be inspired by the fruits and the different ingredients with which the popsicles are made, in order to draw them using colored pencils. In this way we would attract the attention of children, while the geometric figures would attract the attention of adults.
During the pandemic, Alex, the owner of the Paleteria, contacted us for a new project. Now she wanted to make ice cream tubs so that, during this time when we were all at home, we could share moments with the family.
We decided that we wanted to keep the same design for the canister, in order to reduce printing costs, and that the differentiating factor would be the different illustrations on the lids.
For the jar, we wanted to have messages with more playfulness and fun, so that the moment of sharing with the family would be with a few smiles when reading the text.
