Designing a Multi-Product Audio Application

I collaborated with Devialet, a French audio technology company, on their iOS and Android mobile application. As the sole designer on the project, I was responsible for all design-related work, working closely with a Product Strategist and the development team.

Context & Challenge

Over the years, multiple designers (in-house and freelancers) had worked on the app, each with different methodologies, sorting conventions, and naming structures. The result was a giant, unstructured file that had become increasingly difficult to maintain and evolve.

Key Contributions

Migration from Sketch to Figma: Led the migration from Sketch to Figma as a first step to improve collaboration, file sharing, and design asset management. Rebuilt every component from scratch to ensure optimal settings and a clean foundation.
File Structure & Sustainability: Designed a scalable file architecture based on the app's common foundation, where each Devialet product triggers specific variations (settings changes, home screen adjustments, etc.). The structure enables faster iterations and long-term maintainability.
Cloud & Delivery Workflow: Streamlined the deliverable process by moving away from manual exports to Google Drive. Created an efficient, no-brainer sharing system that made minor updates frictionless, with a consistent file structure applied across all applications.

Process & Collaboration

Throughout the project, I worked hand-in-hand with the Product Strategist to align on product vision and priorities, and with developers to ensure technical feasibility and smooth implementation. As the only designer, I owned the entire design process, from structuring files to delivering assets, while maintaining close alignment with the broader team.

Impact

Together, we transformed a fragmented, hard-to-maintain design file into a clean, scalable system, enabling faster iterations, smoother collaboration, and a more sustainable foundation for future product evolutions.
