Ment - AI Enhanced Video Capture, Transcription and Export

Founding member of a SaaS startup created for live event holders to capture live video, generate and synchronize transcription, allow for clipping and export of moments and share the event, AI generated summaries, chapters and moments.

Co-authored the system design and implementation from concept to MVP in 5 months. As a fully distributed and event driven system deployed to AWS and utilizing both serverless micro-services and Nest GraphQL based services the system was both highly available and scalable. The system utilized AWS MediaLive and MediaConvert for capture and clipping, S3, MongoDb and DynamoDb for storage, and integrating Google Gemini, Auth0, and Deepgram transcription API. The system was complex and yet boasted over 99% uptime.

The UI was created in Vue.js with a component library based approach where each vertical of the application generated a component library that was consumed into a composed UI for the main application.
