As life becomes more and more cluttered, there are few things you have absolute control over, and that is the home screen of your iPhone. If you have had your phone for a while, you know that the home screen tends to get cluttered with the continual downloading of apps. A cluttered home screen can be frustrating and time-consuming. Here are some tips on how to organize your apps on your iPhone’s home screen to optimize your device’s functionality.
1.     Take advantage of the folder tool –
This is one of the most effective ways to organize your apps. You can group them into folders based on their category, purpose, or their primary color. You can create folders for games, editing, entertainment, social media, etc. To create a folder, tap and hold onto an app until it starts moving, then drag it on top of another app you would like to have grouped in the same folder. Then you can rename the folder to make it easier to identify.
2.     Put your most used apps on the bottom –
The bottom of the home screen is accessible from any page. I would recommend putting your most used apps here for easy access. This way you do not need to go searching for the things you use the most.
3.     Keep your favorite apps on the first page.
The first page of your home screen should be reserved for the apps that you find yourself using daily. These are things like messaging, camera, calendar, etc. This makes it easy to find these apps quickly instead of having to search through your phone.
4.     Alphabetize your apps –
Another effective tip is to alphabetize your apps. This is for the type-A people who would like to know where everything is always located. This method would help you find your apps easily, especially if you have many folders. To sort your apps in this way, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. This will arrange your apps in alphabetical order.
In conclusion, organizing your apps on your iPhone’s home screen can help you save a lot of time, and increase your productivity. Whether you prefer any of these methods, a well-organized home screen will be able to relieve some daily stress to make your iPhone experience more enjoyable.
