A local theater wanted to do more than just sell tickets—they wanted to build a loyal, engaged audience that would return for every performance. Through strategic paid advertising on Meta and Google, I helped them transform casual theatergoers into enthusiastic fans, creating a season of sold-out shows and a thriving community.
Challenge
While the theater had a strong reputation, their ticket sales didn’t fully reflect the quality of their productions. They needed a strategy to not only increase sales but also foster a sense of connection and excitement among audiences, ensuring the theater remained top-of-mind for future events.
Solution: Community-Focused Paid Advertising
To achieve this, I crafted campaigns designed to build relationships, spark conversations, and drive conversions:
1. High-Engagement Meta Ads
Developed ads showcasing behind-the-scenes moments, cast features, and sneak peeks of upcoming performances to create an emotional connection with audiences.
Encouraged interactions with content designed for sharing, tagging, and commenting, transforming the theater’s ads into conversation starters.
Result: Reached over 296,000 unique users, generating thousands of likes, shares, and comments that amplified awareness.
2. Targeted Google Ads for Conversions
Created highly targeted search campaigns to reach people actively searching for live entertainment.
Optimized ad copy to highlight urgency (“Tickets Selling Fast!”) and emphasize the unique experience of the theater’s performances.
Result: Achieved a 49.59% CTR, significantly driving traffic to the theater’s website and ticket sales.
3. Retargeting Warm Audiences
Retargeted website visitors and past ticket purchasers with tailored ads, reminding them of upcoming shows and encouraging them to return.
Personalized messaging that acknowledged their prior engagement made the experience feel curated for them.
Result: Retargeting campaigns converted at an exceptionally high rate, turning previous attendees into repeat patrons.
