Overview The increasing migration of Nigerians to different parts of the world has created a need for a digital solution that helps them stay connected to their native languages. Many Nigerians in the diaspora struggle to maintain fluency in their indigenous languages due to limited exposure and practice. This case study explores the development of a language-learning platform tailored for Nigerians living abroad, designed to provide an interactive and culturally immersive learning experience.
Problem Statement Nigerians in the diaspora face several challenges in learning and retaining their native languages, including:
Limited access to structured learning materials for indigenous languages.
Lack of a community or interactive practice sessions.
Absence of engaging and digital-first language learning solutions focused on Nigerian languages.
Project Goal To create an innovative and user-friendly online platform that facilitates the learning of Nigerian languages such as Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa, making it accessible and engaging for Nigerians in the diaspora.
Role As the Lead Designer for this project, I was responsible for crafting an intuitive and engaging user experience, ensuring accessibility, and integrating cultural elements seamlessly into the platform.
