I consulted for the EPICentre venture program for start-ups. I was brought on as a mentor and consultant for multiple start-ups. These companies mainly focused on logistics and technology. I have also been a panelist for the Odette School of Business on Supply Chain Management and Data Industries. These start-ups required some hard truths about their services, their market, and their niche. I would advise of services or tech that already existed in their industries and make recommendations to pivot into a niche that was not being met by their industries. These recommendations were met with needed course redirection, and thus, the companies would continue to exist, or they would dissolve the company, not being able to pivot to meet demand.
