What I Did:
As a Social Media Manager at Dekker Creative, I was responsible for planning, editing, and producing short-form video content across Tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube. My role involved everything from concept development and filming to post-production and scheduling, with a strong focus on maintaining a cohesive brand identity and delivering content that was both impactful and data-driven.
My mission was to build a social media strategy that blended authenticity with performance. I increased Tiktok video output from two to five posts per week, allowing us to stay consistently visible on the platform and respond quickly to trends and audience behavior. I also implemented content calendars, tracked performance metrics, and adjusted our creative approach based on what resonated most with our viewers.
One of the most rewarding parts of this experience was seeing the content not only perform well numerically but also provide real value to our audience — sparking conversations, encouraging shares, and leaving a lasting impression.
Results:
In 2024, our Tiktok account saw a 126% increase in accounts reached, driven by both volume and improved content strategy. We gained over 50,000 new unique viewers that year, and audience analytics showed higher watch completion rates and stronger engagement across the board.
