Exemplifying recent work

This video is a demo reel that exemplifies skills and projects completed in the last year. All work was created using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, and Cinema 4D.

Spinning Billboard Introduction: The billboard and sign were modeled and animated in Blender, with the background animation made in Cavalry and displayed on a backdrop in Blender to accept the same light source. Color correction and compositing were done in After Effects.

Skateboarding Rotoscope Animation: A commissioned animated clip for 'Seven Minutes in Heaven' a video by Zak Molinar. This was created by lowering the frame count to 10 fps and rotoscoping frame by frame in Procreate then compositing in After Effects.

Beats by Dre Spec Ad: I began by modeling the speaker in Cinema 4D, including details like the inner speaker cones and cups in case I wanted to take the speaker covers off to reveal the inside of the speaker. I then animated the speaker and added multiple camera angles rendering out varying shots of the scene with differing movements. Once all shots were rendered out I edited and composited the shots in After Effects to create a cohesive video matching the energy and branding of Beats by Dre

Carlson Law Firm map: Commissioned to create an animated map of Texas to showcase the differing branches of the Carlson Law Firm. I built the assets in Adobe Illustrator to fit the client's branding. Starting with the first location in Killeen, Texas I then animated a pin with text for each location popping up in order of opening with a line leading from the original location to show their growth.

Green Rubix Cube: Modeled and animated in Blender to experiment with an alternate 3D program I followed a specific color pattern and prompt from the Instagram page @mondayschallenge for inspiration

Brother by Meat Wave blip: Mimicing Radiohead's Kid A blips I tasked myself with creating a blip for Meat Wave's song Brother. Taking inspiration from a family tree and using the song's lyrics I animated in After Effects using Trim Paths and camera movement to showcase the growth of the family tree as different lines were sung.

Logo Reveal Montage: This portion highlights some logo reveals I have worked on, both as spec projects and for clients. Techniques used include masking, trim paths, and track mattes.

Cherry Pie Recipe Explainer: A fully animated explainer video covering the steps to bake a cherry pie from scratch. All assets were handmade in Illustrator and then imported into After Effects for animation.
