Product Marketing Manager

Tracy Iwu

At UBA (United Bank for Africa), I served as the Youth and Student Marketing Manager, overseeing the growth and promotion of products within this segment. My primary focus was on key products such as LEO, UBA’s innovative chatbot designed to assist customers and facilitate seamless transactions, as well as UBA’s Teens and Kiddies accounts aimed at younger demographics.
Some Key Responsibilities:
Spearheaded awareness campaigns for all products under the youth and student segment to ensure maximum reach and visibility.
Collaborated with product owners to design and implement strategies with a target of achieving 100% growth for each product within a year.
Executed marketing strategies end-to-end while providing ongoing support to product owners for their specific initiatives and goals. Key Wins Successfully drove a 200% growth in both transaction count and user base within one year. This milestone saw the platform expand from 1 million to 2 million active users, reflecting enhanced engagement, improved user experience, and a more compelling value proposition. The growth was achieved through targeted campaigns, data-driven strategies, and customer-focused improvements. I was asked to revive UBA's Teens Account to better resonate with both young adults and their parents. This involved rethinking the branding strategy, which led to a renaming of the account to make it more relatable, appealing, and aligned with the target audience's expectations. The refreshed identity was paired with a strategic relaunch, encompassing targeted marketing campaigns and a fresh approach to communication. As a result, the account experienced remarkable growth, achieving a 150% increase in both account openings and deposits
