For this project, I completed the HeyGen Certification course to ultimately create a 1-minute sample promo of HeyGen.
Challenges + Solutions
✨ Challenge: AI tools are rapidly gaining traction, but many companies still struggle to understand how to integrate them effectively into their marketing strategies.
✨ Solution: I created a concise 1-minute promo that introduced HeyGen as an ideal entry point for marketing teams looking to adopt and scale AI video.
✨ Challenge: It’s easy for brands to either rely too heavily on AI or feel limited by tight budgets when trying to create high-quality video content.
✨ Solution: I used screen recordings, diverse background options, and strategic avatar placements within HeyGen to demonstrate how marketers can maximize creativity—even on a budget.
The Project Process
✨ Brief
The first step of the video creation process was to receive a detailed brief from HeyGen. Since this was a part of their open program, the brief was given in the last lesson.
The brief outlined the overall goal of the video, as well as must-have talking points and video features.
✨ Scripting
Once I had an understanding of what must be in the video, I went through and created a script.
The script had slight creative changes from the brief. For example, wording changes and the addition of screen recordings. The core content remained the same.
✨ Filming
Since HeyGen is has AI avatar capabilities, I did not need to film this promo myself. I simply fed the transcript to its avatar generator, and made tweaks where necessary.
I produced a 1-minute AI promo video for HeyGen, showcasing its avatars, text-to-video tools, and multilingual features to engage and convert digital marketers.
